Oranges and Cream Platter

  • 4 medium-large oranges, ideally a mix of multiple varieties (pictured here: Cara Cara, Navel, Raspberry, and Sumo)
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon Grand Marnier
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • Sprinkle of granulated sugar
  • Finely grated zest of one orange
  • 23 crumbled gingersnap cookies
  • Fresh mint leaves


Using your knife, remove the peel and pith from the oranges and cut into 1/4 inch slices/segments. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk whipping cream until thickened to your liking, add Grand Marnier, vanilla extract, sugar, and orange zest, and whisk until combined. Taste for sweetness and adjust. Arrange orange slices on a platter and pour any remaining juices all over. Spoon dollops of whipped cream on top, followed by crumbled gingersnaps and fresh mint. Enjoy.
