Hot Honey Firecrackers

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons (7 ounces) unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons (1 ounce) Cannabutter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1 tablespoon red chili flakes (adjust depending on heat preference)
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 (16-ounce) package saltine crackers

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F and line two sheet pans with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, melt both the butters. Remove from the heat and vigorously whisk in the honey, nutritional yeast, red chili flakes, and salt.
  3. Place the saltines in a large resealable bag or big bowl and pour the infused honey butter over the Gently shake the bag or use a rubber spatula to toss them in the bowl to evenly coat the crackers.
  4. Place half the batch of crackers in a single layer on the prepared sheet Bake the crackers, flipping after 4 minutes, until the honey starts to caramelize and the crackers turn golden brown on each side, a total of 8 to 10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool. Repeat with the remaining crackers and let cool completely before munching.
  5. Snack immediately or store in a labeled lidded container for up to a week.
