I love Broadway shows. And theater in general. So much so that at the end of last year Nick, my husband, had to give me a little talking to about budgeting; I spent wayyyy too much money on theater in 2024 and it was becoming a problem. I never stop movie stars on the street, but you bet your ass if I see a Broadway star I’m taking a pic with them.
Anyway, that’s my way of telling you that today we’re rerunning one of the very first—or maybe the first— interviews I did for the podcast, with the actress Sutton Foster, who is known for the TV show Younger, and the musicals Anything Goes, Music Man, and, most recently, Once Upon a Mattress—and yes, okay, for now dating Hugh Jackman. At the time of our interview, Sutton was in rehearsals for Music Man, in which she starred with Jackman, and had just published a memoir, Hooked: How Crafting Saved My Life. I listened to the interview this week and was pretty horrified by my unadulterated fangirling, but despite that, it’s a really nice, and fun, and endearing conversation, if I do say so myself.
